After spending 4 days in Anchorage talking about domestic violence in immigrant communities, I came home to the news that NBC’s new sitcom “Mail Order Family” is based on the “comedic” premise of a Filipina Mail Order Bride moving to America to marry an American widower. This is beyond obscene. Please don’t allow this show to sell ad space or even air a pilot episode. They must be prevented from profiting off the misery of mail order brides. I know you all have busy lives, but please read the petition and consider lending your support.
