Several months ago, Amanda, who works at Bethany Beach Books in Delaware, emailed to ask if I would send them over a hundred autographed book plates and book markers.  She and the  staff had chosen The Mango Bride  as their January selection for their book club subscribers, who, she explained, loved getting author swag. Given the fact that I’ve never been to Delaware and had never heard of this marvelous  book club subscription service, I was honored to have been chosen and more than happy to comply.

In the age of Amazon, it is most heartening to know there are people who still like to go to brick and mortar stores and that this indie book store had somehow found my novel amid the pile of books that they handle every day, and enjoyed it enough to send it out to their loyal  patrons. That is the sort of recognition that writers like me treasure.

Best of all I can now claim to be Ms. January of 2016!
