Professor Judy Patacsil decided to celebrate Women’s History Month by inviting me to talk about The Mango Bride  at San Diego Miramar College on Friday, February 7.   I will read passages from the novel and discuss the journey from writing the first draft in Nanowrimo, 2008 through finding an agent, getting it published and embarking on  a DIY book tour in 2013.  The event is free and open to the public.  If you missed the big book party last April, here’s another chance to check out the book:
